I’ve written quite a few blogs now on how I get being a mum, disastrously wrong, but after 2 years, 2 months and  15 days I’ve finally got something right!
Hooray put out the bunting, let’s have a street party with streamers and everything!!!
My little girl, Lois, is a snacker, she always has been since she was a baby, even then she would never finish a bottle of milk in 1 go. She would still live on milk if she could. I try to make her lovely dinners, like shepherds pie, she turns her nose up. I make her chips, she turns her nose up. I get her a yoghurt from the fridge, she turns her nose up. My daughter turns her nose up at everything, until last night.
Trying to be all Deliah Smith, I made a chicken casserole. I say casserole, I just got chicken pieces, soup and veg, chucked it in a pan and put it in the oven. With some trepidation I dished a bowl up for little un and sat with mine at the table. She took hold of her tigger fork and dived in, then again and again. This is something of a break though in the Hanson household, where 2 mouthfuls is seen as success.
But it didn’t stop there, with just a couple of sweet corn pieces left, my little girl asked for more. I was so shocked to hear these words leave her mouth, I had to check with my mate Sophie who was also tucking in.
I’m over the moon that I finally made something she liked and pleased that I made loads because she can have it again today…and tomorrow…and the next day…..and the next day…..and the next day….
