Love this

Questioning everything I do as a parent, carrying around an awful lot of guilt about who knows what, and worrying constantly about my daughter, seems to be what I do all day everyday.  So this is my new mantra…

School induction nerves

I’m off to my little ones school induction tonight and I’m nervous as hell. Would it be ok to take her or does that flag up that I’m “one of those ” yknow single mothers? Do I look stupid asking what time school starts and finishes? Shouldn’t I just know that information?  What happens if […]

Not again, pleeeeeease…

Arrrgghhh what to do about this one oh knowledgable ones?! I am absolutely sick of reading the very hungry bloody caterpillar! It has been demanded every single night for a year now and there is no swerving it. That little green tike is doing my head in, I can’t miss a word otherwise we have […]

The bugs are with us

We are just full of germs. The car will have to be fumigated rather than valeted when it goes back to Snows. I’m coughing and spluttering all over the dashboard of my Yaris, whilst little one has an endless stream of green coming from her nose, which ends up on the window, the seats and […]

Cos you aren't gold

My little girl is well impressed with having the Toyota Yaris to take her to pre school and says she likes silver…..but gold is the best, can’t we have a gold one? (It’s actually gun metal grey and I really like it, it hides a fair amount of dirt) .

Car diary update…

Foods eaten- sausage roll, a banana, bread sticks, kinder egg and a packet of monster munch Mess made- used wet wipes, chocolate smears from a kinder egg, crisps ground into the seat, sticky hand marks on the windows Luggage acquired- 4 blankets, a talking bird, little ted, a kinder dinosaur, 3 pine cones, a hockey […]

IT'S NOT A BOOK!!!

It’s the most entertaining drive to work, seeing all the kids walking to school dressed as their favourite characters for World Book Day. I was really proud of Rich from heart Breakfast, who came to work dressed as the very Hungry Caterpillar (This may or may not have happened). There’s always a Harry Potter at […]

It's all going swimmingly.

Friday Foods eaten- jam sandwich  Mess made- a few crumbs from the sandwich and a muddy footprint on the edge of the seat Bonus points for the Toyota Yaris- when you pull away at a junction it sounds like you’re taking off, which also doubles as a great in car game of aeroplanes  No sooner […]

A big blog perk

For 4 years now I’ve been blogging about how I constantly get being a mum wrong and letting you know about the mistakes and stupid stuff my daughter and I get up to. It has always served as a bit of therapy and of course you lovely people have helped me out no end with […]

An uneasy subject….

It makes me a bit queasy talking about these things, so I thought I’d blog it and see what you lovely people’s views are. She hasn’t even started school yet and I’m worried about what might come home. I heard from a mate this week that her 6 year old has worms! Worms? Worms? I […]
